Kirven Douthit-Boyd of Boston, Massachusetts Is the Co-Artistic Director of Dance at the Center of Creative Arts – COCA in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned his M.F.A. in Dance from Hollins University in Roanoke Virginia. He began his formal dance training at the Boston Arts Academy in 1998 and joined Boston Youth Moves in 1999. He has also trained on scholarship at The Boston Conservatory and The Alvin Ailey School prior to performing with Battleworks Dance Company, Ailey II, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater from 2004-2015. Kirven has originated roles in Ronald K. Brown's "Dancing Spirit", "IFE:My Heart", and "Four Corners", all set on the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He has been performing with EVIDENCE as a guest artist since 2016.
