VALERIANE LOUISY LOUIS-JOSEPH
is a French Caribbean native of Nanterre, France where she began her artistic training.
Upon moving to New York after high school, she studied at the Alvin Ailey School and graduated from the Certificate program in 2018. There she performed works by Ephrat Asherie, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Winston D. Brown, Amy Hall, Earl Mosley, and Darrell Moultrie.
She performed Alvin Ailey’s Memoria restaged by Ronni Favors at the New York City Center among the dancer’s of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Valériane also worked along side of Chester Whitmore, Frit & Frat, Augusto Soledade BRAZZDANCE, Davalois Fearon Dance, Bloodline Dance Theatre, Frank Muhuel Dance Company and Will Brown Zen Flow Movement.
She is a recipient of the EVIDENCE Dance Workshop Series Beth Young Scholarship, and has apprenticed with EVIDENCE before joining the company. She is celebrating her first season with Ronald K.Brown EVIDENCE, A Dance Company.
